Design Projects
Aerodynamic design, CAD modelling and university design work.
OBR25 Front Wing
My first Oxford Brookes Racing design project: a full front-wing redesign focused on tyre-wake control, downstream flow quality and higher performance without additional weight.
OBR26 Side Wing
As a second year at Oxford Brookes Racing part of my work in the first semester involved making a new design of the side wings. The main focus was achieving high loading in various operating conditions, while managing flow into the cooling ducts and controlling upwash affecting the rear wing.
LMH2 Hypercar Suspension Project
Our group developed the front suspension for a hydrogen-combustion endurance prototype. My main responsibility was the upright, from the first concepts through to the detailed, adjustable design.
Centrifigual Pump Redesign
The aim of this project was to model a centrifugal pump from technical drawings and fix some of its fundamental design issues. The main problem was the O-ring groove, which did not leave enough space for the seal to expand properly, causing it to roll, twist and wear faster.
SR71 Aircraft Model
Prepared in SOLIDWORKS, this full scale CAD model of the SR71 blackbird aircraft includes all of its external features and has been optimised for CFD runs.
